Mar.8 I keep on watching and watching and watching. Well the Coleus already have there 2nd leaves and I have tansplanted them to their own little pots and they are doing just fine. I think about 60 of them. yicks! I still keep hoping to see my Sea Holly but they are not showing themselves yet. Boy am I impatient or what? March 8, 2008 (Happy Birthday Bullseye) With my birthday on Monday (Happy 50th yippee) we decided to have bonfire breakfast this weekend. What a day to have it—we could barely see each other, it was snowing so hard (well that’s exaggerating a little bit but not too much). Water, water, everywhere…or how to get it there When water is available but far removed from the growing sites it is useful to have a convenient way of extending the source to accommodate the location of those sites. Asian noodles and garden saladServes 2 Asian Noodles: 1 Package of cooked and cooled long noodles (best to use left-over noodles) 5tbs of olive oil or toasted sesame oil1/4 cup of toasted sesame seeds2 crushed hot chilies1 tsp onion powder1 tsp tamari saucedash of sea salt Mix the above dressing by shaking it in a glass jar with a lid. Here are a few of the flowers in my garden: I grew a bunch of beautiful sunflowers by complete accident…There were some left-over seeds from the chickie feed in our compost which we spread on the potato garden and we ended up with a beautiful sunflower garden. Crocus are one of my favourite flowers…they introduce spring. Bright orange lilies shure light up a dark corner of the garden.
