These are new plants that I got/started last year at the end of the season!! Honeysuckle vine! Centaurea dealbata /Cornflower spiderwort ???: The 2 orangy color flowers. Not the poppy! Wiglesia ?: ?? I still have a lot of “new” plants to come! Enjoy!
Since we moved here I have had a heck of a hard time with my rose bushes!In Montreal, they would be 6 to 7 feet tall, and be in bloom the whole summer.Here, a few roses and just lose their leaves, and buds and be full of all kinds of bugs :-( This year, I planted garlic all around all the bushes.
Talk about an undemanding plant! At least the ones I have!I have some growing in gravel on the side of the driveway, coming from under a log on the side of the weep field, in established flower beds (where they do get a bit more care) and growing wild around the property! I thought their color was a bit off until I saw the wild ones and I find that this year, their colors are a bit paler! Very commune ones: By the driveway: At the edge of the shade garden!!

Quite a few pictures today of first blooms. Going to be busy busy for a while so not going to have much time to post replies. Do appreciate any comments though and am not ignoring them. The first clematis to bloom.They were getting so tall we had to put up an archway for them.
Missed posting some yesterday.. I’ve got one from yesterday in this batch but the other has not re-bloomed yet, so will catch a snap of it later. This is one of the butterfly flowers I got in from Spring Hill. The Nandina is blooming nicely along the front walk. It used to be that I had all my herbs in my herb garden!!But over the last year, I started growing the new ones mixed in some of the flower beds!So when I am fixing a meal, I just take a stroll in the gardens and enjoy the sights!
